An interdisciplinary musical intervention was carried out between Nursing and Music Performance students. The level of anxiety was assessed with the Hamilton scale and the variation in vital signs before and after the intervention in a day hospital in cancer patients and in interpreters, in the latter the variables were also analyzed before and after the intervention. The Wilcoxon test was used to analyze the data. 18 patients and 10 music students took part. Variations in vital signs were observed in both groups, as well as a decrease in the level of anxiety in the patients at the post-intervention moment. In the students, the level of anxiety was higher at the beginning of the dress rehearsal compared to the rest of the evaluated moments at the hospital. live music interventions could improve anxiety levels in both cancer patients and performers.

Multinomial log-linear models were used to verify the association of predictor variables with anthropometric indicators of malnutrition. it was observed that less than one third of the children were free from malnutrition. Only 23% of the children had adequate nutrition that met all the criteria for their age group, which was negatively associated with severe acute and chronic malnutrition; 67% of the children were exclusively breastfed, and the prevalence of continued breastfeeding occurred between 88% and 95%. The existence of food reserves was a protective factor against chronic malnutrition at all degrees, confirmed by the practice of agriculture and the diversity of animals raised. The feeding problem was associated with acute and chronic malnutrition in children over one year old. malnutrition in children under 24 months old is associated with dietary adequacy, availability of food for consumption and access to it.

The data were collected between December 2022 and April 2023 in a hospital from southern Brazil, by means of the Children with Special Health Care Needs Screener, the Health Literacy Questionnaire and a characterization questionnaire. The analysis involved descriptive and inferential statistics. a number of limitations were identified in active care, social support and ability to find good health information. Diverse potentialities were noticed in assessing the information and interacting with health professionals. There was a positive association between the "Schooling level" and "Family income" variables and the "Feel understood and supported by healthcare providers" ( p =0.006), "Have social support for health" ( p =0.000) and "Appraise health information" ( p =0.038) scales. the interventions for caregivers should strengthen active care, social support and access to information, considering the influence exerted by the socioeconomic factors and the importance of good communication with health professionals to improve access, understanding and leverage of the guidelines, thus enhancing care quality and safety.

Descriptive and multiple inferential statistical analysis was performed using a hierarchical Poisson regression model with a significance level of 5%. of the total number of participants, 18.9% met the criteria for harmful alcohol consumption. Determinants for risky and harmful alcohol consumption were male gender (PR = 1.89; 95% CI 1.57-2.28; p < 0.001), black race/color (PR = 1.65; 95% CI 1.30 - 2.10; p < 0.001), and income ≥ 10 minimum wages (PR = 1.78; 95% CI 1.07 - 2.99; p = 0.028). For probable dependence, lower educational level (PR = 13.70; 95% CI 1.56-117.63; p = 0.017) and reporting a diagnosis of depression (PR = 2.72; 95% CI 1.37-5.41; p = 0.005) were determinants. the prevalence of alcohol use disorders among users of primary health care services in São Paulo was higher than that observed in previous studies, suggesting that this segment of the population seeks health care at these services, highlighting the potential for screening and early diagnosis of the population.

Data were collected through a structured, online questionnaire with sociodemographic and clinical variables. The presence of defining characteristics included in the Nursing Diagnoses of Anxiety, Change Stress Syndrome; Post-Trauma Syndrome; Stress Overload and Chronic Sadness, present in the NANDA-I taxonomy, was also investigated through self-report. The Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale and the Impact of Events Scale-Revised were also used. Multivariate logistic regression analysis was performed to determine the defining characteristics that were configured as predictors of mental health disorders. Adjusted odds ratios were estimated, along with 95% confidence intervals, at 5% significance. 2,349 undergraduate students participated in the study. The presence of 24 physical, behavioral, cognitive, and emotional defining characteristics of the nursing diagnoses in question was investigated. Of these, 13 emerged as predictors for anxiety symptoms; 15 for stress symptoms; 11 for depression symptoms; and 15 for post-traumatic stress disorder. physical, behavioral, cognitive, and emotional defining characteristics of NANDA-I nursing diagnoses were evidenced as predictors for the development of mental health disorders in university students in the post-COVID-19 era.

Fifty second-year medical students participated and were randomized into two groups: control group (dialogical exposure, skills training and simulated scenarios after 12 hours) and intervention group (dialogical exposure, skills training and simulated scenarios after 21 days). The Situational Motivation Scale was used for analysis. all students showed increased motivation. In the control group, intrinsic motivation increased before and after the simulated scenario (p=0.011). In the intervention group, intrinsic motivation increased before and after skills training (p=0.013), before and after the simulated scenario (p=0.024) and after skills training compared to the simulated scenario (p=0.011), with a reduction in amotivation (p=0.035). skills training and simulated scenarios increase student motivation. However, there is a need to better understand the impacts of different intervals between activities.

Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and the data were submitted to thematic analysis. the results were organized into four thematic groups and revealed grief, despair, and perplexity of family members who could not understand the reasons for such a radical act; the feelings of pain due to the loss, overlapped with anger, relief and guilt. Blame was shared with other people and the social and health services; and the lessons that the experience provides. nurses and other healthcare professionals can help surviving families to restructure themselves after the suicide of one of their members, implementing care actions based on repeated assessments of the repercussions of suicide on the family as a whole and on its members individually; identifying the most compromised dimensions of family life; individual and family needs; and family resilience processes.

The incidence and fatality rates were calculated, and choropleth maps were constructed by region and federative units. The Global Moran Index was used to verify spatial autocorrelation. the study covered 64,451 cases of COVID-19, with a female predominance (85.2%) and a focus on nursing technicians (59.3%), with a higher percentage in the Southeast region (36.3%). Deaths were predominantly female (68%), with the North region standing out (27.9%). The fatality rate in these cases was highest in the North region (4.25%) and in the state of Amazonas (28.47%). The spatial analysis showed regional variations, with autocorrelation in the overall case fatality rate in 2020 and for nursing technicians, without significant autocorrelation for other categories. the mapping of COVID-19 cases and deaths in nursing revealed regional disparities and variations in incidence and fatality rates, highlighting the need to discuss the quality of health services and the effectiveness of the government response.

The intervention group participated in hybrid activities on gamification applied to the topic of violence against the elderly. The evaluation was conducted using thematic cases validated by experts, with statistical analysis using Chi-square and Student's t tests. the intervention promoted significant differences between the groups in attitudes and perceptions about violence against the elderly. Students in the intervention group were more likely to report cases of neglect and were more aware of how to prevent abuse in public spaces. the gamified intervention was effective in stimulating protective attitudes and ethical perceptions of violence against the elderly, but there was no significant association with the knowledge variable. There is a need for more comprehensive studies that can provide complementary evidence to the results of this study. BACKGROUND: (1) University students are more likely to report family neglect. BACKGROUND: (2) Increased awareness of the rights of older people in public spaces. BACKGROUND: (3) Intervention promotes practical awareness of elder abuse. BACKGROUND: (4) Innovative approaches are effective in training more empathetic professionals. BACKGROUND: (5) Gamified intervention promotes protective attitudes towards older people.

Educational actions for professionals and patients on microbial resistance were analyzed, as well as interventions to improve prescribing, such as prospective audits, feedback and pre-authorization. The data was grouped by location, care profile and number of beds and analyzed using parametric and non-parametric statistical methods. of the 219 PED-ICUs with ASP in place, 44.7% were in the Southeast and 58.9% carried out continuing education for professionals. Only 6.8% promoted educational activities for patients and companions, concentrated in public hospitals with more than 200 beds. The education component showed weaknesses, especially in smaller hospitals, while actions to improve prescribing were more consolidated, with 70.8% implemented. Private hospitals and those in the Southeast and South stood out in terms of adherence to management practices. the study revealed significant disparities in the implementation of ASPs in Brazilian PED-ICUs, highlighting the need to strengthen continuing education and engage all those involved in order to increase adherence, reduce antimicrobial resistance and improve pediatric care. BACKGROUND: (1) ASP in Brazilian PED-ICU shows gaps in antimicrobial education and prescription. BACKGROUND: (2) Insufficient education compromises the rational use of antimicrobials in Brazil. BACKGROUND: (3) Regional inequality challenges ASP in public and private hospitals. BACKGROUND: (4) Larger, private hospitals lead the way in adherence to ASP in PED-ICU in Brazil. BACKGROUND: (5) Educational strategies and audits strengthen antimicrobial control in ASP.

In the first phase, the inventory was cross-culturally adapted to the Brazilian context. In the second phase, its psychometric properties were evaluated with 328 final-year undergraduate nursing students from different regions of Brazil. confirmatory factor analysis confirmed a two-factor structure, consistent with the original Italian version. Factor loadings were significant (p < 0.001), ranging from 0.417 to 0.976. The adjustment indexes met the recommended criteria, validating the factor structure in the Brazilian context. Cronbach's alpha and McDonald's omega coefficients were greater than 0.70 for most factors and for the overall scale, demonstrating reliability. the Brazilian version of the inventory demonstrated validity and reliability in assessing the preparation of final-year undergraduate nursing students for a liberal career, and it is also a useful tool for teachers and researchers to identify training gaps related to business entrepreneurship in this public. BACKGROUND: (1) The inventory presents adequate construct validity and internal consistency. BACKGROUND: (2) It assesses knowledge about business entrepreneurship in nursing. BACKGROUND: (3) Subscale 1: assesses important factors for pricing services. BACKGROUND: (4) Subscale 2: assesses knowledge about the liberal career. BACKGROUND: (5) Validated with final-year nursing students.

In-depth, semi-structured interviews were conducted with 27 mothers, followed by inductive thematic analysis. maternal parenting practices involved interaction and engagement in play activities with the child, socialization with other children, early exposure to screens, relative paternal participation, and occasional book reading. Uncertainties emerged regarding setting limits, early childhood education enrollment, and perceptions of child development. The findings indicated a partial interrelation with Nurturing Care domains related to responsive caregiving, opportunities for early learning, and child security and safety. maternal parenting practices, analyzed through the lens of the Nurturing Care framework, reflected the child's care environment, highlighting both strengths and vulnerabilities in promoting child development in the home context. The Nurturing Care domains are useful for child care within Primary Health Care, reinforcing the relevance of parental responsiveness and the child's daily routine for their full development. This suggests a potential strategy to promote nursing care in child health. BACKGROUND: (1) Daily home routine reflects parenting practices for child development. BACKGROUND: (2) Maternal reports express strengths and weaknesses of the child care environment. BACKGROUND: (3) A nurturing and interactive environment provides opportunities of child learning. BACKGROUND: (4) Daily constraints expose children to developmental vulnerabilities. BACKGROUND: (5) The Nurturing Care framework offers analytical domains of child care at home.
