UNLABELLED: to elaborate a Middle-Range Theory for the diagnosis of situational low self-esteem in nursing students based on the mapping of scientific literature. methodological study aimed at building a Middle-Range Theory, developed on the basis of the causal-theoretical model and based on Roy's Adaptation Model. The process was operationalized in six stages: (1) defining the approach to building the theory; (2) defining the theoretical-conceptual models; (3) identifying the key concepts; (4) drawing up a pictorial scheme; (5) formulating propositions; and (6) establishing causal relationships and evidence for practice. five essential attributes, 15 antecedents and 23 clinical consequents were identified. The analysis of these elements enabled the development of the Middle-Range Theory, consisting of an illustrative diagram, eight propositions, 12 causal relationships and evidence for practice. the small number of studies shows how little the subject has been explored in national and international contexts. The Middle-Range Theory broadened the understanding of the diagnosis of situational low self-esteem, offering support for nurses' work in the university context. BACKGROUND: (1) MRT introduces elements for nurses to use in clinical practice. BACKGROUND: (2) Broadens understanding of the diagnosis of situational low self-esteem. BACKGROUND: (3) Supports the advancement of practice and research related to the student care process. BACKGROUND: (4) Can serve as a guiding resource for implementing actions to address low self-esteem.

The theoretical framework used was the Health Care Systems Model proposed by Arthur Kleinman. Semi-structured interviews were conducted, which were audio recorded, fully transcribed, and submitted to content analysis as proposed by Bardin and to the IRaMuTeQ software. the study included women whose ages ranged from 20 to 47 years. Most participants were White and married. Content analysis yielded three categories: 1- Main support networks during pregnancy - family subsystem; 2- Follow-up during pregnancy - professional subsystem; and 3- Spirituality as therapeutic support - cultural subsystem. it was observed that the paths taken by pregnant women seeking healthcare during the COVID-19 pandemic became even more challenging, being permeated by doubts and uncertainties brought about by the disease, as well as by new configurations of routines and services adopted by healthcare providers.

Sociodemographic, occupational, and absence-related variables were evaluated. Descriptive statistical analysis, absenteeism rate calculation, and Poisson Regression with robust variance were performed, considering p≤0.05. a sample of 839 professionals, with 7,375 absences, was analyzed. Sick leave absenteeism resulted in an average of 54.1±2.5 lost days (p<0.001) and was more prevalent among professionals aged 41 years or younger (31.8%; p=0.003). The intensive care (31.3%) and medical inpatient (27.5%) units reported the highest number of absences. The highest absenteeism rate (9.9%) occurred in July 2020. The risk of illness was associated with male gender (p≤0.001) and intensive care unit work (p=0.007) in the 1st period; being single (p=0.002) and being a nursing technician (p=0.022) in the 2nd period; and working in intensive care (p=0.003) and as a nursing technician (p≤0.001) in the 3rd period. after the end of the pandemic, absenteeism rates did not return to pre-pandemic levels. COVID-19 and musculoskeletal diseases were the most prevalent causes. It was possible to investigate the factors related to absenteeism.

The exposure variable was parity, and the outcomes included the use of oxytocin and amniotomy, type of birth, perineal trauma, postpartum hemorrhage, maternal and neonatal transfer, and newborn admission to neonatal intensive or intermediate care units. Data were analyzed descriptively and through logistic regression. primiparity was associated with a higher likelihood of receiving oxytocin and amniotomy, intrapartum transfer, second-degree tear, episiotomy, postpartum hemorrhage, cesarean section, forceps-assisted birth, and neonatal admission to neonatal intensive or intermediate care units. Births predominantly occurred in semi-seated and upright positions, either on a bed or in the birthing tub. The maternal transfer rate was 21.8%, while the neonatal transfer rate was 3.3%. primiparity is a predictor of the analyzed interventions and unfavorable maternal and neonatal outcomes. However, the studied Freestanding Birth Centre can be considered a safe setting for childbirth among health pregnant women.

The participants' emotional indicators were assessed before and after the Hatha-Yoga intervention, using the Mindful Attention Awareness Scale; Santa Clara Brief Compassion Scale; Self-Compassion Scale; Mini International Neuropsychiatric Interview; Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale; Barratt Impulsiveness Scale and Epworth Sleepiness Scale. Descriptive and inferential analyses were carried out using t-tests (paired and for independent groups) to assess the effect of the intervention. in the intra-group analysis, the intervention group showed an increase in the emotional indicators of compassion, self-compassion and a decrease in anxiety and daytime sleepiness after eight weeks of practicing Hatha-Yoga. In the control group, there was a significant decrease in dispositional mindfulness. In the post-test between-groups analysis, moderate effect size differences were found for self-compassion and dispositional mindfulness. the practice of Hatha-Yoga had a positive impact on the students' emotional indicators, contributing to health promotion and expanded self-care (RBR-10jgv7ky).

From the studies found in five databases and the reference list of those selected, data was extracted using a coding tool based on the Social Determinants of Health theoretical model with the support of the MaxQDA software. 31 publications were included. The most investigated dimensions of the social determinants of children's health were related to the characteristics of the individual, with emphasis on health conditions and age, sex, and hereditary factors, highlighting the search for factors that have a direct impact on children's health. the dimensions of child health most explored were those related to child development. Behavior and living conditions were little investigated. Future studies with a broader approach to the Social Determinants of Health in an integrated way could contribute to the development of care centered on premature infants and early interventions concerning child health outcomes.

Key terms included "pregnancy," "disease outbreaks," "biomedical research," and "eligibility criteria." Twenty-three articles published between 2017 and 2023 were included in the synthesis. this review identified a pattern of exclusion of pregnant women from research during multiple disease outbreaks across diverse regions. The exclusion rates ranged from 52% to 97.8%. Ethical and moral concerns were raised, emphasizing the need for a shift toward the presumptive inclusion of pregnant women in research. Recommendations emerged from discussions on the risks and benefits of research participation, global institutional and strategic changes, and the standardized collection of pregnancy-specific data to inform public health responses. this scoping review highlights the systemic exclusion of pregnant women from research during disease outbreaks, underscoring ethical concerns, critical knowledge gaps, and structural barriers while providing a foundation for advancing maternal health research during public health emergencies.

Latent Class Analysis (LCA) was used to devise a solution with three internalized stigma profiles in a sample comprised by 227 patients diagnosed with schizophrenia from the Public Mental Health Centers of the city of Arica, Chile. the results showed that premorbid adjustment is a significant predictor of class belonging for the latent stigma profiles. When analyzing the sociodemographic characteristics and contrary to what was hypothesized, ethnicity was not a relevant predictor of internalized stigma profiles. the latent classification model is suitable for assessing stigma profiles in order to target future interventions in specific foci and at-risk populations.

Data were collected between December 2022 and July 2023 through telephone interviews and a survey of electronic medical records. Statistical analysis included absolute and relative frequency distribution and bivariate analysis, using the Chi-square test or Fisher's Exact Test, considering statistically significant values with p≤0.05, with a 95% confidence interval. 323 women took part in the study. Women who did not consume processed foods, soft drinks, or artificial juices had a lower proportion of ductal carcinoma. And those aged <40 had a higher proportion of the triple negative breast cancer subtype. the results indicate a significant relationship between age at diagnosis and molecular subtype, as well as relevant patterns between the consumption of industrialized foods and soft drinks or artificial juices and the histological subtypes of the disease. These findings highlight the importance of considering such factors in the prevention of the disease.

The searches were carried out in eight databases and a theses and dissertations database, screened with double-blind in Rayyan®, analyzed with a focus on the methodology of the evaluative studies and through qualitative synthesis. of the 56 publications included, the majority used an observational design, generally related to process evaluations (n = 26), followed by experimental (n = 23) and quasi-experimental (n = 8) analyses of results in terms of effectiveness and efficacy, respectively. Of the eleven actions analyzed, eight are universal prevention programs, one is selective prevention and two are a preventive strategy. most of the programs evaluated are universal, aimed at adolescents, carried out in schools and focused on various drugs. It is recommended to focus on new groups, such as Indigenous populations and other risk conditions, and to develop selective programs in future government initiatives to prevent drug use in Brazil.
