To identify emotional burnou...Examination covered 118 medical staffers with length of service 25,7±6,3 years. Materials included work conditons, case histories, physical and laboratory examinations, cardiointervalography. To identify emotional burnout syndrome, the authors used simultaneous testing with <<Maslach Burnout Inventory>> (MBI) and questionnaire <<Emotional burnout syndrome>>. According to emotional burnout syndrome components, somatic disease manifestations, cognitive, emotional, motivational and attitudinal disorders were assessed. Findings are that vegetative nervous system in medical personnel with long length of service is overstrained, functional resources are exhausted, energetic level is under normal level - that is supported by clinical and laboratory data. 36,4% of the medical staffers were diagnosed as having vegetative dysfunction syndrome. Complaints of psycho-physical, social and psychologic and/or behavoral symptoms were seen in 7% of the examinees; hypodynamia - in 53%; excuses for sedatives or psychoactive drugs intake - in 53%. Findings are that according to periodic medical examinations risk groups should be formed and specific medical and prophylactic measures should be provided.

Examination covered drivers with metabolic syndrome...The authors considered systemic approaches to disclosing factors that promote metabolic syndrome formation and associated risk of ciculatory system diseases in drivers. Examination covered drivers with metabolic syndrome and without it. Findings are that metabolic disorders developing in drivers are occupationally conditioned. Length of service can determine cases numbers of cardiovascular disorders, diabetes mellitus manifestations, more frequent combination of hyperglycemia and/or hyper-, dyslipidemia with abdominal obesity. The drivers with length of service over 15 years, aged over 35, demonstrated arterial hypertension in 35% of cases, postinfarction cardiosclerosis in 43% of cases, disorders of cardiac rhythm and conductivity in 55% of cases, and the number increases with length of service and reaches 80% of total examinees number by 55 years of age. Diabetes mellitus was diagnosed in 37% of cases (in 75% of the workers first diagnosed) with over 20 years of service, average age of 50 years.

Findings are that poor quality of ambient air in populated area concerning concentrations of vanadium, nickel, manganese (up to 24-44 RfCchr) and stable presence of these elements in drinkable water (up to 0,006 RfD) cause mainly aerogenous chronic exposure at 0,00025-0,0022 mg/(kg-day). The exposed individuals demonstrate higher (3,5-3,8 times vs. unexposed ones and reference level) serum level of vanadium (0,0023 to 0,003 mg/dma), nickel (0,06-0,11 mg/dm) and manganese (0,036-0,048. mg/dm³). The authors demonstrated changes in serum proteomic profile associated with serum levels of vanadium and nickel (share contribution of vanadium and nickel equalled 15-20%) and manifested as increase of relative volume of transtyretine, apolipoprotein A-I, lower relative volume of haptoglobin. Increased serum level of vanadium disorders transport of apoproteins incorporated into lipoproteins; increased serum level of nickel activates hemolysis of RBC, disorders speed of hemoglobin-haptoglobin complex formation and its subsequent utilization by hepatocytes. Revealed molecular and cellular disorders enable to forecast thyroid disorders, hematologic diseases, cholesterol metabolism disorders.

Examination covered 73 patients with occupational mild and moderate s...The study was aimed at features and efficiency of controlled halotherapy method in patients with occupational chronic obstructive lung disease (COLD). Examination covered 73 patients with occupational mild and moderate stages of COLD, aged 45 to 64. All the patients were randomized to 2 comparable groups - main and reference (37 and 36 examinees respectively). The main group in addition to conventional medical therapy received courses of controlled halotherapy (10 procedures with certain concentration of sodium chloride dry aerosol in accordance to methodic recommendations). Based on complex evaluation of clinical, functional and laboratory methods, the authors assessed efficiency of controlled halotherapy in patients with occupational COLD. Considerable improvement was seen: for mild COLD-- in 40% of cases, for moderate COLD - in 30%, with general efficiency for these patients of 90 and 85% respectively. Analysis of the results obtained enables to evaluate controlled halotherapy as an effective method of rehabilitation and prevention in occupational COLD patients.

Mitral valve prolapse (in 132 examinees) appeared to be associated with reliably lower levels of reticulocytes, leucocytes, lymphocytes CD4+, immunoglobulines G, magnesium, and higher cortisol level, in comparison with the sportsmen having no mitral valve prolapse. The athletes with mitral valve prolapse demonstrated more frequent changes in ECG, reliably lower performance in treadmill test, slower recovery of heart rate after exertion is over.

Treatment of oncologic patients, aimed to remove or cease malignant cells growth and prevent metastases, has considerable side effects and is conducted on psychologic stress background. Rehabilitation measures hence get crucial importance. Rehabilitation of oncologic patients in complex treatment is a multi-stage continuous recovery process that includes various influences. Correct implementation of physical therapy factors in rehabilitation program causes no tumor growth and metastases, and sometimes inhibits tumor cells growth. On recommendations of sanatorium-and-spa treatment for oncologic patients, the complex promotes rapid recovery of disordered functions, activation of adaptive responses, psychologic and social adjustment.

The study included 137 patients. Implementation of therapeutic teaching into treatment of chronic cardiac failure patients resulted in less number of patients with III-functional grade, better tolerance to physical exertion, more awareness, greater number of patients with self-control skills and adherence to recommended treatment, better life quality of the patients. Medical and social significance manifested in less frequent hospitalizations and calls for emergency medical care.

Manifestation of rheumatoid arthritis is characterized by predominant proliferation and exudation in soft tissues inside joints, tendopathies, chondral plate alterations as hyaline destruction. Articular cartilage erosions can be seen even in 2.8 months after destructive arthritis manifestation. Diagnostic criteria of early rheumatoid arthritis are: articular disorders location, articular syndrome variant (mono-, oligo- and polyarthritic; seropositiveness on rheumatoid factor andACCP), chondral plate state according to ultrasound examination.

The frequency increases with age up to 4-5% among the patients aged over 65, and radical...Trophic ulcers are complications of chronic venous insufficiency in 15-18% of cases and appear in 1-2% of able- bodied population. The frequency increases with age up to 4-5% among the patients aged over 65, and radical removalof the disease can be achieved only in one tenth of the patients. With that, even healed trophic ulcers recur frequently: after surgery in 4,8-31,6% of cases (according to various authors), after conservative treatment in 15-100% of cases. Main treatment modalities for trophic ulcers are medical and surgical. Recent researches necessitate including physical therapy methods into the treatment complex, as combined techniques that enable to improve results of various treatment variants.

The study involved 51 patients in early (n...The study was aimed to compare efficiency of optimized and combined treatment and rehabilitation in post-apoplexy patients, using standard therapy, cytoflavin and COBS-training. The study involved 51 patients in early (n = 25) and late (n = 26) recovery periods after CVA. Reference groups included patients in early (n = 15) and late (n = is) recovery periods, receiving basic therapy. Evaluations included thepatients' complaints change, activity index (Bartel scale), neurologic state (NIHSS scale), static and locomotory disorders intensity (M.E. Tinetti scale), ultrasound dopplerography, MALDI-TOF-TOF mass spectrometry of serum. Implementation of cytoflavin and COBS-training in CVA patients in early recovery period resulted in better life quality, decrease in neurologi deficit, less static and locomotory disorders, increased average blood velocity, RI, PI on ICA siphon and lower average blood velocity, RI, PI on MCA in comparison with reference groups and CVA patients in late recovery period. The authors constructed forecasting models of risk for occupational lumbosacral radiculopathy combined with vibration disease and occupational neurosensory deafness in coal miners suffering from lower back pain and signs...The authors constructed forecasting models of risk for occupational lumbosacral radiculopathy combined with vibration disease and occupational neurosensory deafness in coal miners suffering from lower back pain and signs of occupational hazards influence on health state. Scientific basis covered determination of high and low risk groups for health disorders in miners, according to calculations within suggested formula in forecasting models. Findings are that each year following primary diagnosis of lower back pain and signs of occupational hazards influence on health state, probability of occupational lumbosacral radiculopathy combined with vibration disease increased by-1S% (OR = 1.15 1; 95% CI = 1.105-1.200), combined with occupational neurosensory deafness - by 5% (OR = 1.054, 95% CI = 1.097- 1.507). Probability to get occupational neurosensory deafness combined with occupational lumbosacral radiculopathy was maximal in miners aged 30-39, and combination of vibration disease and radiculopathy was more frequent in miners aged 40-49 (OR = 1.542; 95% CI = 1.154-2.062).
